Boyd and I have been married now for a year and a half, and we are proud to announce.. drum roll please..... that we have a washer and dryer!! They arrived yesterday as if they were heaven sent. There are many things we love about our new apartment, and one of them is the washer dryer hookups. My lovely sister provided us with the washer and my parents got us the dryer. While many of our best memories come from the hours spent at a "laundromat" (I never understood why its laundrOmat and not laundry mat), we are not sad to put those days behind us. I have already done three loads of laundry and have actually enjoyed it. I thought I would list a couple of the things I will NOT miss about the laundromat..
1. Having to load and reload your laundry in and out of the car multiple times.
2. Having impatient strangers take your wet laundry out of the dryer and throwing it on the floor. (because for some reason their time and laundry is more important than yours)
3. Getting to the laundromat and realizing you forgot the detergent, or even worse your quarters.
4. constantly having to search for quarters.
5. pumping quarters into a dryer only to find out the dryer isn't pumping warm air, and in fact not drying a thing.
Those are just a couple reasons, but trust me.. I could go on and on. Thank you Kim, Mom and Dad for upgrading our quality of life!

Havasupai
Boyd and I decided to go on a camping trip! Some friends from work were heading down the Grand Canyon to Havasupai, and they invited us to go along! I have always wanted to go because I heard it was just beautiful. Boyd had gone a couple times before and always talked about how much fun it was. Sure enough, it lived up to expectations. It a 10 mile hike down all along red rock, then all of the sudden you hit and oasis and beautiful water falls!
Here we are hiking...
One of the first water falls...
Havasu falls...
We had our stuff packed down for us, so we didnt have to carry it ourselves which made the expierence so much more enjoyable. We visited, ate and played in the cool water all day long. There were several water falls that we would hike to, Unfortunalty our camera died the first day so we didnt get pictures of all the falls. THe water fall above has a cave behind it, so we hiked up the back, then jumped through! it was a blast.. thank you wilkey's for a wonderful trip!

Visit from the Parental Units
My Parents decided Sunday night to come and visit Boyd and I in St. George for a couple of days. (Partly because I told them that I had let my health insurance lapse, so they came up to get me insured...oops) We always love visitors and we had such a good time. It has been an action packed couple of days. We visited, golfed, sewed, ate good food, got health insurance, shopped and went to a play! Here are some pics of the last couple days.
Boyd and My dad went golfing at the course we work at, while my mom and I crafted!

We went to the Tuacahn.. It is an outdoor amphitheater built into the unique red rock of st. George.. its super cool.
