As some of you know, Boyd's little sister ( Kara) lives with us. She is only a year younger than I, and we have been the best of friends since the day we met. She is a lovely woman and she has always had the dream to go on an LDS mission. A couple weeks ago, Kara turned in her papers. We have been anxiously waiting for her call to come. This last Thursday a big envelope addressed to "Sister Bowers" arrived in our mail box! we were so excited..
I am so grateful for Kara and for her wonderful spirit that has filled our home. She is such an example to me and a wonderful support system. While I'm terribly sad to have her go for a year in a half, I know that the people of Uruguay are going to be so blessed to have her there! I admire her for her dedication and Strength. I love you Kara and I know you will do great things. Kara will be leaving April 1, and will be attending the Argentina MTC to learn Spanish.
