Random but Fun

This post is somewhat random, and contains a couple different events. First thing is first, my trip to San Diego. Needless to say, it was a blasty blast. I was able to play in my San Diego State alumni water polo game, relax, shop, and hang out with a lot of friends and family. Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures of my trip, but here are the few that I have.

My mom and Me making Valentine Cookies...

I was able to hang out with some really great friends...( sorry Holly, I know you didn't want me to post this picture, but I just love it!)

Now for the random pictures. This picture is from New Years Eve. My parents came up to St. George and brought in the New Year with Boyd and Me. We had a lot of fun walking around the city and playing all sorts of games. We cant wait for you guys to come back and visit us again!

I stumbled across this little picture of Boyd. He doesn't have very many baby pictures, three to be exact. But they could possibly be my three favorite pictures ever. Isn't he so cute!

Well that is the end of my random post, thanks for enduring!

Homeward Bound to San Diego

I love St. George and the life that Boyd and I have built here; but, there is something about San Diego that is always calling my name. So... I'm giving into my soul's desire and headed home for a couple days. A much needed vacation.

Mission Call

As some of you know, Boyd's little sister ( Kara) lives with us. She is only a year younger than I, and we have been the best of friends since the day we met. She is a lovely woman and she has always had the dream to go on an LDS mission. A couple weeks ago, Kara turned in her papers. We have been anxiously waiting for her call to come. This last Thursday a big envelope addressed to "Sister Bowers" arrived in our mail box! we were so excited..

I am so grateful for Kara and for her wonderful spirit that has filled our home. She is such an example to me and a wonderful support system. While I'm terribly sad to have her go for a year in a half, I know that the people of Uruguay are going to be so blessed to have her there! I admire her for her dedication and Strength. I love you Kara and I know you will do great things.

Kara will be leaving April 1, and will be attending the Argentina MTC to learn Spanish.

Boyds Birthday

Boyd turned 25 yesterday! He is such a great husband and friend, and I really wanted to get him something that he would like. So, a couple weeks ago I decided to get him Jazz tickets for the game on his birthday because he LOVES the Utah Jazz. Just so happens I was able to get 4 tickets for the sixth row! Boyd, me and his two friends from home had a wonderful time cheering on the Jazz to a victory against the pistons, in over time! It was so exciting to actually see the players that close and hear everything they were saying. I'm afraid we will never be able to sit in the nose bleed sections again after experiencing the greatness of close seating. I love you Boyd and I'm so glad you were born.

My Date

So this really cute Boyd asked me to the Dixie state homecoming dance, just the guy I was hoping was going to ask me! haha actually I had no idea we were going to go. But Boyd and his cousin, Rick, had been planning all week to ask their wives to dinner then the dance. We had a really good time, felt slightly awkward because I didn't know married people went to these events, but as it turns out we weren't the only ones.. plus we ended up having a blast! Sorry to all the guys that took me to dances in the past, because Boyd was by far the best date I have ever had. Thanks Boyd for a fun date!
